Thu is a General Director of Lynden Viet Nam Pty Ltd. She is also the CEO and Founder of Hue Local Tour and Hue Foundation, an initiative that seeks to create jobs to empower the local economy while preserving the cultural traditions of Vietnam. Under Thu’s leadership, she has led scalable and collaborative social projects including the renovation of an elementary school in Thuy Bieu in collaboration with the Hue Economic University and Chonbuk National University. She has initiated environmental cleanups of the banks of the Huong River in Hue working with orphanages, and has also rallied support to donate necessities and gifts to highland and remote rural areas in Vietnam. This also includes a scholarship program for promising students who require financial assistance to access education. During the pandemic, Thu has led initiatives to support the community in providing meals and services to those preparing new quarantine shelters for Vietnamese returning from abroad. In keeping with her desire to pursue advanced professional development, she was awarded a YSEALI Professional Fellow Economic Empowerment scholarship of the US Government in the fall of 2020.
