Jana holds a PhD in Plant Genetics and Plant Science from the University of Adelaide. She is the Director of Stewardship and Sustainability Policy at CropLife Australia where she provides strategic policy advice around the responsible and sustainable use of plant industry and science products. In 2020, she was the lead policy analyst supporting the Chief Scientist of Australia’s COVID-19 response in the Rapid Research Information Forum (RRIF). Jana was awarded Dean’s Commendation for Doctoral Thesis Excellence and was also admitted into MIT’s Entrepreneurship & innovation Bootcamp for the class of 2018.

She is passionate about tackling issues in sustainable agriculture, where she has produced submissions, consultations, along with supporting the development of in-depth reports and evidence briefs for the Australian Academy of Science, and the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations.
