Britt Liebeck
Australian
Engagement Manager, Asia Impact
RMIT University
In her current role, Britt is responsible for the strategic communications, partnerships, and business development objectives of RMIT’s Southeast Asia initiatives, the Australia Vietnam Policy Institute (AVPI) and RMIT Asia Trade and Innovation Hub (ATIH).
Since AVPI’s launch in 2022, Britt has lived and breathed the Australia-Vietnam bilateral relationship, working with her team to strengthen mutual understanding around opportunities for bilateral trade and investment with a focus on areas vital to both countries’ economic development and sustainable futures.
She is currently the Engagement Lead on Austrade’s ‘Southeast Asian Diaspora Mapping and Engagement’ project which is being delivered by the RMIT ATIH. This project aims to deepen SME links and increase two-way trade between Australia and Southeast Asia.
Through AVYLD, Britt hopes to bring a stronger youth perspective to the AVPI and RMIT ATIH, working with her fellow delegates to better address sustainability goals that are critical to the region we live in.
A fan of youth-led initiatives, Britt was previously on the National Youth Advisory Council at Orygen, The National Centre of Excellence in Youth Mental Health.
Her life motto: “Perspective is everything. You either win or you learn. Don’t sweat the small stuff.”
