Troy Crellin

Troy joined Killara Foundation as Chief Executive Officer in July 2024. He comes to Killara with a wealth of experience in social enterprise and social justice. His work with Charcoal Lane and Synergy Auto Repairs has helped advance government policy and has seen him attend inquiries into housing and employment.

Troy practices an assets-based community development, focusing on strengths not deficit. A model that understands the solutions to our problems often sit with the people most effected by that problem and his work in Integrated Social Enterprise models is closely aligned with the Koto model, ‘know one, teach one’.

Troy is passionate about Culture, Community and connection and has seen first-hand the success of putting Aboriginal Cultural knowledge at the front of activity through initiatives such as the Smith Street Dreaming, Charcoal Lane and Yalinguth. Troy is committed to advancing a multicultural Australia that engages and celebrates our rich First Nations histories and acknowledges traditional cultural knowledge of land combined with technology can support a stability, skills, and connection for our collective futures.
